PLANNING FOR DEVELOPMENT

McFarland will grow.  Estimates in our Comprehensive Plan tell us that, if the historic 20-year growth rate continues, our population will increase to 14,671 by 2025.  Where will those new residents live?  How will they access Village services? How will their coming affect those of us already here? 

These questions, and many more, will be answered in time.  The answers must come from us.  We have a vision of how we want McFarland to look, to function, to be.  We are invested in this Village, and we care about its health and well-being.  There are several plans in existence that we need to know about.

You can see the titles of all of the approved plans on the Village website.  Why do we need all these plans?  We need them to fulfill our vision.  We need them as a framework for what's coming.  Without them, we can neither realize our goals nor talk about them clearly.  Without a plan that describes our ideal outcome, we can't get there.
